Cap Anamur has been working in Lebanon in the Syrian refugee settlements in the Sidon area since 2016. There, among other things, we ensure the medical care of the refugee families with a mobile clinic. This is because the daily struggle for survival leaves people without the means to pay for the medical treatments they would otherwise have to pay for.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”106138″ caption=”yes” media_lightbox=”yes” media_width_use_pixel=”yes” alignment=”center” lbox_caption=”yes” custom_cursor=”light” uncode_shortcode_id=”472239″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”118054″]

The supply situation for poor people is catastrophic

Since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, the living conditions of Syrian refugees have worsened. The curfews lead to the disappearance of earning opportunities as day labourers. Food has become increasingly unaffordable due to the economic crisis and medicines are in short supply.

Corona protection measures also in our aid project

The Corona pandemic has also had a serious impact on our work. Last year, during the curfews, we had to stop the work of our mobile clinic completely for a short time. In order to comply with the hygiene measures surrounding the pandemic, we have only been able to provide medical care for 50 patients a day since the middle of last year. Our patients are given cloth masks and hand sanitizer to protect themselves from infection when they visit the mobile clinic.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image media=”106137″ caption=”yes” media_lightbox=”yes” media_width_use_pixel=”yes” alignment=”center” lbox_caption=”yes” custom_cursor=”light” uncode_shortcode_id=”178651″ media_width_pixel=”640″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”124771″]

Food packages for the poorest families

Currently, we also support the poorest families we treat in our mobile clinic with food packages.keten. Most of the time it is single mothers, widows or orphans that we help.
