Photo Book "About Life - 40 Years of Cap Anamur"
40 years of emergency aid in over 60 countries. Captured in impressive images.
A wonderful coffee table book and a gift idea that makes a difference.
The photographer Jürgen Escher knows the work of Cap Anamur in all its facets and makes it visible in the volume “Über Leben – 40 Jahre Cap Anamur” (Edition Bildperlen). This illustrated book documents the work of our aid organization in the most beautiful and at the same time most authentic way we can imagine. For more than three decades Jürgen Escher has accompanied Cap Anamur and is, so to speak, our “photographic memory”. Tears and laughter, despair and hope – impressive pictures and accompanying texts capture the work of Cap Anamur, showing 40 years of emergency aid in over 60 countries.
A foreword by Cap Anamur founder Christel Neudeck, a foreword by Cap Anamur’s long-time chairman Dr. Werner Strahl, but above all those people who have been in action for our aid organization have their say here. Their stories come alive through the photographer’s images and also illuminate emotional aspects, because every Cap Anamur project leaves its mark on the country, but also on the helpers. In the most extraordinary places, they are often confronted with great suffering, but are also allowed to experience that it does not take a large team or enormous resources to achieve amazing things.
100% of the proceeds go to Cap Anamur / Deutsche Not-Ärzte e. V.
