Our goal
Ukraine - aid and supplies for war refugees
The war of aggression by Russia and President Putin, violates international law and exposes the locals to immense suffering. We at Cap Anamur / German Emergency Doctors e.V. are now providing urgently needed help to the people on the ground.
Our chairman Volker Rath as well as board member and internal specialist Dr. Werner Höfner have already set out on March 3, 2022 with the first relief supplies in tow on their way to the Romanian-Ukrainian border.
Since mid-March 2022, we have been coordinating our assistance from the southern Ukrainian city of Novoselytsia. We provide hospitals with urgently needed medication, bandages, instruments and baby food. We focus particularly on the medical care of internally displaced people in Ukraine.

The situation in Ukraine
Political situation
Due to the war of aggression of Russian President Putin on Ukraine, the humanitarian situation of the people in the country is catastrophic. There is widespread warfare throughout the country, including against civilian facilities. Meanwhile, about 7 million people are on the run within the country.
The Ukrainian population is fiercely resisting the invasion, militarily and through civic action. For the time being, no end to the conflict is in sight; on the contrary, the current situation is expected to worsen.
Social situation.
Since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian population has faced immense suffering. Part of the population is fleeing their homeland. Another portion desperately and courageously fights together with the Ukrainian military against the Russian attack. The humanitarian conditions in Ukraine are worsening day by day. Daily deaths, injuries, lack of food and medicine, desolate supply of water and electricity.
Cap Anamur has already supported two clinics in the conflict zone of Eastern Ukraine in 2015-2018.
